AIRPLANES
A variation on the windmill where your arms reach out to your sides.
|
AIR FLARE
A flare where your legs are much higher in the air and you 'jump' off one hand, rotate 180 horizontally and land on the other hand. VERY HARD!!

APPLEJACKS
When a bboy squats on both legs, then jumps backwards onto his hands and kicks one leg into the air as high as possible, then springs back onto both legs and repeats.

BACKSPIN
A spin performed high on the back.

BARRELS
Windmills with arms rounded in front of you.
|
BELLYMILL
Like a windmill but instead of turning around on your hands or head you turn over on your stomach.
|
BUDDAH
Similer to a UFO, except your knees are inside of your arms which are kept straight, and legs are kept off of ground.

BOOMERANG
You start sitting on the ground, with your legs out in front of you in a V position. Then you stick your hand between your legs and lift yourself up, to where only your hands are touching the ground. Then turn around in circles.

BOSTON CRAB
Same as the crab but with legs spread as much as possible and body more upright.

BRONCO
You start on your feet then jump into a handstand, then spring back onto your feet. repeat.

BROOKLYN (Battle Rock, UpRock)
Dancing with a variety of fighting movements. Consist of punching, throwing weapons or whatever. Used in a battle.

BUNNY HOP
Kind of like flare except your legs are kept straight up, spread apart in front of you. Then you hop up and down turning in a circle.

CIRCLE
Same as a flare but with your legs together.
|
CRAB
Hook your knees over your shoulders and walk around on your hands (yes, it's possible..)

CRICKETS
A bouncing hand gilde.
|

DOWNROCK
Quick steps that are done when you're on your hands and feet. The style characterizes the breaker. Leads to stalls and power moves.

EGGBEATERS
A windmill with hands high on the hips.
|
ELBOW GLIDE
Same motion and postion as the handspin except you're spinning on your elbow with hand in stomach.
|
FIST GLIDE
Same motion and position as the handspin except spinning on fist.
|
FLARE
Like a windmill in that your legs move around in big circles in the air, but instead of moving on your shoulders, you put your weight on your hands.
|
FLOAT
Balancing on his hands with his body horizontal except for his legs which are usually bent to help balance.
|
GAINER
A backflip while running forwards.
|
GENIES
A windmill with your arms crossed over your chest.
|
HALO
Similar to the windmill but instead of rolling from shoulder to shoulder, your head rolls around the floor like a halo.

HANDCUFFS
A windmill like nutcrackers but with hands behind back in cuffed position.
|
HAND GLIDE
The bboy is in the float position, except with only one hand supporting him. The other hand pushes him so that he spins around.
|
HEADSLIDE
A head slide is a slide done inverted while resting on your head.
|
HEADSPIN
You spin on your head. You use your arms and legs to initiate the spin.
|
HELICOPTER
A move where you are croutching on one foot and have the other one outstretched in front of you. Run your straight leg 360° under you, jumping it with every rotation.

FREEZE (Stall)
A brief pause in action where you stall your body in a weird position. A proper stall lasts for 1.5 secs!!

HOLLOWBACK
A good example of a freeze. It is a handstand with your legs bent over towards your back.

KIP-UP
Rising to his feet from flat on his back by popping of his back à la Jackie Chan. :)

BABY WINDMILL (aka: Munchmill)
The same thing as a windmill except you keep your legs all the way crossed and folded. Kinda like a windmill in the fetal position.

NUTCRACKERS
A windmill with your hands covering your crotch.
|
PERFECTIONS
A bboys best move, the move that takes your opponent out. aka: 'signature move' for you speedroc bitches! ;)

POPING / LOCKING
A form of Hip-Hop that is often performed by bboys to add variety to their performance. The dancer uses strict controlled "pops" of their body parts to give the illusion of a constant robotic or waving motion. The dancer can also move their feet in certain ways to give the illusion that they're floating (moonwalk!).

RUBBER BAND
Continuous kip-ups.

SIX STEP
A downrock step on your hands & feet which is kinda like running in a circle. Every breaker should have his/her own unique style as this is more of a style move then a power move.

SPIDER
This is considered to be a flexibility move. Both thighs are placed behind the bboys back, knees are on top of the shoulders at ears, calves are in front. Weight is balanced on either hands, feet, or a combination of both.

SUICIDE
When a bboy freezes in the air and drops flat on his back (or other) without hurting himself.
|
SUMOS
Similar to the windmill but grabbing your knees with your hands.
|

SUPERMANS
A windmill with your arms reaching straight up.
|
TOMBSTONES
A windmill where your legs are closed and body is in an "L" position. No hands are used.
|
TOPROCK
Your basic upright footwork. Can be based on many different influences and is different in each individual. Often is used as the lead in a sequence of movements, and as fill between sets of downrocking and power moves to give yourself a chance to recover before continuing.

TURTLE
Spinning in the float position.
|
UFO
A spin similer to the turtle, except body is upright, in a crouch, arms are straight, and knees to outside of arms, and legs not touching ground.

WINDMILL
The bboy rolls from shoulder to shoulder, spinning his legs around in the air continuosly.
|
WORM
The bboy lies on his stomach and creates a wave moving from front to back so as to look like a worm crawling.
